The time has come and as the saying ‘goes all hands on deck’, its ‘all hands on the pitch’, our annual fund raising event ‘REDS DAY’ will be heldon Sunday 16th May. The day will be full of fun, laughter, sun (cannot rain the third year on the trot) and fund raising. We are asking for help with donations of cakes and tombola items and if you can help on the day, support your team on their stall.
Not only will the traditional football tournament take place, but we shall have bar/coffee/tea, cake and sweet stalls, BBQ, bouncy castle, sumo wrestling, tombola and many more. It is hoped that the stocks will be present, so an ideal time to get your own back on maybe Kev or your Manager.
Please come along and join in the fun.

RAVENSHEAD Reds U9s completed a remarkable transformation in their fortunes this season, winning the Young Elizabethan League Division Three at their age group.
This time last season they were anchored at the foot of the league, and ended the year without a single league win - although they did take the sportsmanship award for the manner in which they conducted themselves in defeat.
This season they kept faith with the same team and manager (Ian Holmes) and were rewarded with the team losing only one league match, drawing two and winning the other 17, to land the league title by four points and promotion to Division Two.
Players are Thomas Catmur-Smith, Ben Jones, Joe Francis, Ashley Hind, Alex Dodd, Alex Faulconbridge, Curtis Goodman, Jack Broughton, Joel Barker-Klein, Jonathan Heath and Tom Powell.
The Ravenshead Reds are looking for more junior members to join their football teams.
The club currently runs teams for all ages, up to an under-16s team, but has no under-14s or under-15s team. It is also looking for children aged five and six to join. Teams train once a week, either on Wednesday or Friday evenings at Ravenshead Leisure Centre. An open day takers place on May 18 at the leisure centre in Longdale Lane.
